Mayor William F. "Bill"  Mischler

Mayor William F. "Bill" Mischler was first elected to our City Council in March 1980. Prior to that time he had served on the Civil Trial Commission, Cable Television Selection Committee, and the Planning and Zoning Commission, of which he was a member for 10 years.  Mayor Mischler was first elected Mayor in 1998, and re-elected in 2000, 2002, 2004, and 2006.

Since 1981, Bill has represented our City on the Pinellas County Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO), our Countywide transportation planning agency.   Mayor Mischler also represents Pinellas Park on the Pinellas County Mayor's Council and the United States Council of Mayors.

Mayor Mischler, a very compassionate individual, possesses a willingness to listen with an open mind to address residents' and business owners' concerns.  He attends approximately 25 to 30 City-related functions per month and is a true ambassador for Pinellas Park.  He exemplifies the warm and friendly image of our City.

Bill was a founding father of People Helping People of Pinellas Park, a volunteer-based organization that assists elderly, disabled, or incapacitated residents on fixed incomes with yard work and minor repairs to their property.

Bill moved to Pinellas Park in 1967 from New Jersey. He retired from Jim Walter Computer Services Inc., in Tampa, as their Lead Systems Analyst after more than 34 years of employment.  Bill and his wife, Joan, have lived in Pinellas Park since 1967 and are members of the Pinellas Park Wesleyan Church. They have one daughter, Cindy, son-in-law Phil, and two grandchildren, Brian and Amanda.
