Fire Department - Recruitment - Application Process
To apply with the City of Pinellas Park Fire Department, you must have the following:
  • Florida Firefighter Certification
  • Florida EMT or Paramedic Certification (Paramedics must also be ACLS certified)
  • CPR Certified (Health Provider)
  • High School Diploma or equivalent

We strive to conduct an annual hiring exam. This consists of a physical abilities test and interview. If you have a Florida Fire and Paramedic Certification and would like to be placed on our Paramedic Recruitment List, please call (727) 541-0712 and ask to have your mailing address placed on the list. When we are ready to test, we will notify you by mail.

Applicants who are offered a Firefighter position with the Pinellas Park Fire Department will be required undergo the following:

  • Psychological profile
  • Driving records check
  • Physical examination, including drug screening
  • Background check
