Educating the public on fire prevention has been part of the Pinellas Park Fire Department since the early 1900's when the department was made up of a small band of volunteers.

They were the early pioneers of what is now an established Fire and Life Safety Education Program within the Pinellas Park Fire Department.  With a mission to educate the public on the causes of fires and injuries, offer ways to handle emergencies when they occur and introduce strategies on how to prevent them in the future, the Public Educators have developed informative and entertaining programs that appeal to all age groups.
