Fire Department - Technical Rescue Team
MVC_009SPinellas Park Fire Department's Technical Rescue Team started out in 1988 as a rope rescue unit comprised of 9 firefighters. Within a few years time, the team expanded to include rescue services for collapsed buildings, trench cave-ins and confined space emergencies. In 1995, Pinellas Park, along with several other Pinellas County fire departments, merged into a single Pinellas County Technical Rescue Team in an effort to consolidate funding for equipment and training. Currently, there are 14 Pinellas Park firefighters assigned to the Technical Rescue Team.
