Library and Recreation Services Department

The Library and Recreation Services Department serves the public by providing a wide variety of recreational, cultural, and educational activities to the residents of Pinellas Park and neighboring communities. Through the Pinellas Park Public Library, the department offers a variety of literary, information, and cultural resources for children, youth, and adults. The Recreation and Special Events Division manages the City Recreation Centers, offers before and after school care and school break camps, coordinates use of City facilities for individual and team sports, and provides a variety of leisure activities. The Division also administers and coordinates City-sponsored and community events at the Performing Arts Center, England Brothers Band Shell/Town Square Plaza Park, and City Auditorium. Together with its citizen advisory boards, the Recreation Board and the Library Board, and supportive organizations Friends of the Library and new Friends of the Performing Arts Center, the department works to enhance the quality of life and sense of community that characterize the City of Pinellas Park.
