It is the function of the Government Relations department to perform professional public relations duties. The Government Relations Administrator, serving as the communication liaison between the City of Pinellas Park and the public, will coordinate information dissemination to the public using various media including the monthly Newsletter, annual Calendar, electronic web site, public service announcements and frequent press releases. The Administrator will organize and execute cultural and special events and programs on behalf of City Council and/or City Manager, acting as point of contact for special events, meetings and activities including catering or banquet arrangements, entertainment and sponsorship procurement. The department will also administer the government access channel, monitoring playbacks and the bulletin board.
