11th Annual Pinellas Park Relay for Life - April relay18th-19th

It's the biggest campout of the year!  Join the Pinellas Park community as it celebrates another year of fighting cancer through the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life.  Relay for Life honors cancer survivors, remembers those we have lost and raises money to assist the American Cancer Society in fighting cancer through research, education, advocacy & patient services.  Find out how you can get involved: 727-812-7029, Jessica.Boles@Cancer.org or www.events.cancer.org/RFLPinellasParkFL.




Tampa Bay Opera's Spring Concert April 20th 3:00pm

The Tampa Bay Opera, a new opera troupe formerly known as the "Matinee Opera Players", will return to Pinellas Park for the second in a popular series of musical concerts on Sunday, April 20th, 2008. The concert will begin at 3:00 pm. Doors will open at 2:30 pm.
In this presentation, entitled "Springtime in Pinellas Park: Songs of Friendship, Love, and New Beginnings", the gifted cast of local singers will perform scenes from the operas Madama Butterfly, La Traviata, and Cavaleria Rusticana, along with favorite arias and Broadway show tunes. Scenery and costumes will augment the performance, which will be staged by artistic director Mario Laurenti.

Relive the golden years of theatre as lovely melodies are played on the Mighty Wurlitzer Theatre Organ. The organ, lovingly restored by the Central Florida Theatre Organ Society, creates the sound of a full orchestra, including a variety of percussion instruments and a bevy of sound effects. Performance is FREE to the public. Bring your lunch and enjoy the show.

The Story Swap is a monthly program, usually held on the fourth Sunday of the month (except Nov. and Dec.), the public is invited to share their stories and each program has a different theme.
