Location:  7600 BLK Belcher Road Northbound

Driver 1 – Morrie Eisen, St Pete Beach, age 85 (critical condition)
Driver 2 – Michael Dale McKeever, St. Pete, age 46 (minor injury)

Morrie Eisen (92 Ford 4D Crown Victoria) was exiting SAM'S CLUB onto Belcher Rd, crossing the northbound lanes of Belcher to turn left (southbound).  Michael McKeever (89 Ford Pickup work truck) was northbound on Belcher Rd.  Mr. Eisen crossed in front of Mr. McKeever.  The front of McKeever's Pickup truck struck the left side of Eisen's car causing severe damage.  McKeever's truck flipped over after impact.  Morrie Eisen coded on the way to the hospital, but was revived and is currently listed in critical condition at Bayfront Medical.  The southbound roadway was blocked for several hours while Traffic Homicide Investigators documented the scene and crews cleaned up spilled diesel fuel from the pickup truck.  No charges have been filed at this time.

Morrie Eisen remains in critical condition but stabalized.  He is being flown to Canada for further treatment.

Morrie Eisen died on 01/27/2007 from injuries sustained in the crash.
