Pinellas Park Police Department

Anthony Turner (age 79) was operating a motorcycle on US 19 heading Southbound. Turner stopped for the traffic light at 80th Avenue North. Johnny Dishmon was operating a tractor trailer, also Southbound, behind Turner. Dishmon was unable to stop his vehicle as he approached the 80th Avenue intersection. The front of Dishmon's tractor struck the rear of the motorcycle, ejecting Turner onto the roadway. Turner suffered serious head and internal injuries and was transported to Bayfront Medical Center. The investigation is continuing and charges are pending. Investigating Officer M. Piacenza #405.
