Bicyclist Struck and Killed

On Saturday morning April 26, 2008, at approximately 5:05 a.m. patrol officers responded to the scene of a vehicle versus bicycle crash in the 4300 Block of Park Boulevard. A 1995 Toyota Camry being driven west on Park Boulevard crashed into a bicyclist who was crossing Park Boulevard from the south to the north. The crash occurred west of the 43rd street.   The Camry, which was driven by 39 year old Willie Dyer of St. Petersburg, had a green light to continue west. The bicyclist, 22 year old Misty Hickman, sustained fatal injuries at the scene. No charges are expected to be filed against Dyer at this time.
