Man Arrested for Burglary After Officers Respond to Alarm

On Friday, April 27, 2005 at approximately 11:58 p.m., patrol officers responded to an intrusion alarm at the ASAP Pharmacy at 8609 66 Street North.  As the officers stealthily approached the area, they found Kristopher Lee Hahn, 26, at the open back door to the business.  Hahn was taken into custody without incident, but initially denied his involvement.

Investigating officers found that Hahn had broken into the adjacent business, Dr. Robert Mills Family Practice at 8625 66 Street, and then crawled into the space above the drop down ceiling.  Hahn had to break through two separate sections of drywall in the crawl space, before entering the pharmacy thought the ceiling.

Upon entering the pharmacy, the intrusion alarm was activated and shortly after Hahn exited through the rear door and within moments encountered a patrol officer.  Hahn was found to be in possession of locksmith style tools and lighting equipment.

Hahn was taken into custody and interviewed by the detectives from the investigations section, which ended with his confession.  Hahn was charged with two counts of burglary and one count of possession of burglary tools.  His bond was set at a total of $15,000.

Investigating Detective: C. Martin

Released by Lieutenant Paul Andrews, 727-214-7789
