Police investigated a traffic crash at 78th Avenue and 66th Street North. Randall Deily was riding his bicycle West across 66th Street, crossing in front of a Southbound Chev Astrovan operated by Shawn Sweeney. The front of the van struck Deily sending Deily airborne for several feet. Deily suffered severe head trauma and was taken to Bayfront Medical Center. No charges have been filed.
