On June 23, 2006 Mr. Thompson passed away from the injuries he received in this crash.

 

Charges are still pending the completion of the investigation.

Serious Injury Crash

 

June 21, 2006 @ 6:18 a.m.

 

We are currently investigating a serious injury crash at the 122nd Avenue and 34th Street North...  Preliminary investigation indicates that a northbound van turned left into the path of a southbound motorcycle.  The motorcyclist suffered life threatening injures and has been transported the Bayfront Medical Center.  The driver of the van was uninjured.

 

 

The drivers have been identified as:

 

Van driver:

John Charles Tingler, 19 year old male

8800 60 Street North

Pinellas Park, FL

 

Motorcycle:

Joshua N. Thompson,  35 year old male

6722 Grand Bahama Drive

Tampa, FL 

 

Thompson remains hospitalized with life threatening injuries.

 

The crash is still under investigation, and charges are pending.
