At approximately 12:38 AM, two black males entered the residence of Kevin Long, age 40, beat him and then shot him in the leg. The two assailants then fled the area in a vehicle described as a maroon 4 door sedan with tinted windows. The victim was taken to Bayfront Hospital and treated. The motive for the assault and shooting is believed to be drug related. A woman and small child were also in the mobile home at the time of the shooting.

Suspect descriptions:

#1 – Male, black, 5'10", 160 lbs, thin, reddish brown complexion with high cheek bones

#2 – Male, black, 5'11. 235 lbs, gerri curls extending over his ears.
