Christina Adams was arrested at around midnight October 10 for child abuse. She was observed by witnesses to have held her 5 year old boy out the passenger side window of a moving vehicle.  She also forced the boy to walk and run along side the vehicle, holding his hand while she was in the passenger seat and the vehicle was in motion.  Witnesses say the vehicle, a black GMC SUV was traveling about 3 to 5 miles per hour.  The boy was not injured in the incident but was obviously placed in danger by Adams.  The boy was placed with a relative until more permanent custody arrangements can be made.  Inside the vehicle were two other children and two other adults.

The driver of the vehicle, Joseph West, was questioned and released.  The other adult passenger, Ariane Parsons, who was in the back seat at the time, was also questioned and released.  The case will be reviewed by the State Attorney's Office.
