The pedestrian killed in this crash has been identified as Jason Kevin Gammage, Age: 35. Gammage has no known permanent address. Investigators located family out of state. There is no change in the status of this investigation. A photograph of Gammage is posted below:

On Wednesday, October 18, 2006, at 10:04 PM a pedestrian was crossing Park Boulevard from north to south in the middle of the block and ran in front of an eastbound full sized 1993 GMC van. The driver of the van, Jorge O CABAN, W/M DOB: 09-09-1981 of 2935 Martin Luther King St S., St Petersburg, FL 33705, applied his brakes but was unable to avoid hitting the pedestrian. The pedestrian was pronounced deceased at 10:14 PM by Pinellas Park Fire Department Paramedics at the scene. Traffic Homicide Investigators are continuing their investigation. Charges are not expected at this time. The deceased has been identified through fingerprints; however his name is being withheld pending notification of his next of kin.
