Homicide Investigation

 

On December 23, 2007, at approximately 8:15 p.m., patrol officers responded to a stabbing in the wooded area near the 13300 block of 49 Street North.  The victim was taken to Bayfront Medical Center with serious injuries and had not since regained consciousness.

 

The victim, still in the hospital, died from his injuries on December 31, 2007, at approximately 4:15 p.m.

 

The victim has been identified as:

 

Robert James Burton, a 25 year old white male who was homeless at the time of the incident.
