Pinellas Park Police Department - Public Information Officer

  51120024pjThe Chief of Police designates a representative of the police department as the Public Information Officer (P.I.O.).  The P.I.O. is responsible for coordinating and releasing information pertaining to major crime incidents and operational activities of the department.  The P.I.O. acts as a liaison between the Police Department and the various news media providing them with information to be broadcast to the public.  Most major situations or investigations will have a P.I.O. assigned to accurately and efficiently disseminate information.
 
The current Public Information Officers are Captain Sanfield Forseth and Lieutenant Paul Andrews.
