Recent Enforcement Wave Results

• 07/04/2008 The Pinellas Park Police Department Special operations Unit will be conducting a DUI Saturation Enforcement detail, from 1800 hours to 0400 hours. The Saturation will be a citywide effort. The purpose of the enforcement detail is to educate and deter the public about the dangers of driving under the influence of alcohol and to remove impaired / aggressive / suspended / revoked drivers from the roadway.
• 07/08/2008 The Special Operations Unit will be conducting a High Visibility Traffic Enforcement Detail which will focus on the strict enforcement of speeding violations, red lights violations, seat belt violations, and other traffic violations. The purpose of the detail is to educate and deter the public about the dangers of speeding, red light running, and other traffic violations, through high visibility and a zero tolerance attitude towards enforcement.

DUI Saturation Patrols – A group of officers, typically 10 or more, who are specifically patrolling the city for impaired drivers. These officers are specially trained in the detection of Impaired Drivers and Drug Recognition.

Traffic Enforcement Patrols – A group of officers, typically 10 or more, who are specifically patrolling the city for traffic violators. There are many themes to each patrol where the focus could be on Speeders, Red Lights Runners, or Safety Belt violators, to name a few.
