This Park occupies a 40-acre site developed primarily for passive recreation.
Surrounding the lake are picnic pavilions, picnic tables, grills, a joint use fitness center, playground equipment and two walking trails (one is 3/10 miles & one is 7/10 miles).
The large retirement population in the immediate area enjoy the park because
of its passive, open space atmosphere. Adaptations have been provided to the park to ensure disabled accessibility.
The City's recently developed dog park is located at Freedom Lake as well. The dog park provides a generous fenced exercise space, hydrants, watering holes, and plenty of shade for your family's flurry four-footed friend.
