This site provides an open play area as well as a venue for special events such as the annual "Country in the Park" festival which is held in conjunction with the spring edition of the bi-annual Pride in the Park event and the annual Halloween Carnival and "Treats You Can Trust" in October.

Local organizations and groups have made the park very popular especially during the fall and spring with events scheduled to entertain the community and promote fellowship among the citizens.
