Established in 1996, this center is nestled in the SW corner of Howarth Park adjacent to the City's racquetball courts and Senior League ballfield as well as several Little League ball fields.

A popular spot, the Forbes Fitness Center offers a wide range of workout possibilities.  A cycle, treadmills, and targeted weight machines allow users to adjust their workout to their individual needs.

Participants ages 16 and older pay nominal fees to access the Fitness Center.

R_FreeDLBasketballThe Gymnasium offers a full basketball court which can be divided into two half-courts.  The Gym is equipped with a scoreboard and bleachers for spectators when Leagues are in play.

Youngsters enjoy active play year round whatever the weather.

Kitchen facilities adjoin the MultiPurpose Room which is used for various classes, small meetings, and indoor play on rainy days.  Program participants also enjoy movies shown on the big screen TV.

The Arts & Crafts Room offers Adult Ceramics classes; while unlimited creative possibilities are available to program enrolled participants.

Air hockey, video games, foosball, billiard and bumper pool tables encourage friendly competition in the popular Game Room.  Space is available to play board games, puzzles, and relax between games.

Covered pavilions, a playground, and additional ball fields are available at adjacent Howarth Park.  An equestrian trail surrounds the combined complex providing a pleasant ride for area horse fanciers.

Lighted racquetball courts, the Senior League ball field, and playground equipment complete the offerings at Forbes Recreation Center.
