All swim participants must have a Recreation Registration ID Card in order to use the pool. Children 6 thru 11 must pass a swim test to use the pool unaccompanied by a parent.  Children under age 6 and children who fail the swim test must be within arm's reach of a paying parent w/Rec ID Card in swim attire at all times. Recreation Registration ID Cards may be obtained at Forbes Recreation Center, Broderick Recreation Center or at the Pool.  Resident address verification, a birth certificate / driver's license, and 2 small pictures must be submitted with the completed registration form.  The parent / legal guardian signature on a youth registration form must be witnessed by a Staff member or Notary. Rules are posted throughout the facility.  Failure to follow rules and regulations may result in suspension or cancellation of pool use.     - ALL diapers must be completely enclosed by a swim garment with tight fitting           elastic waist & legs.     - Small bags are available to check shoes and valuables only.     - Radio use is permitted only with headphones.     - Inflatable toys and flotation devices are not allowed.  Coast Guard approved           jackets are available for checkout.     - Bring coins for the vending machines and pay phone - leave valuables and large          amounts of money at home.     - NO glass or gum allowed.     - NO smoking or use of tobacco products.
Please Note:  The following policy has been established due to concerns for the possibility of exposure to fecal bacteria. Pollywog Pond Activity Pool - In the event of fecal contamination, the activity pool will be CLOSED for a period of 24 hours from onset of contamination. Main Pool - Depending on the quantity and condition of the contaminant, the main pool will be CLOSED or partially closed for a period up to 24 hours. Parents can help reduce the likelihood of contamination by having frequent bathroom breaks and carefully monitoring their young children - printed guidelines are available.
