The primary task of Planning is to maintain the City's adopted Comprehensive Plan, which provides direction for growth. This requires that staff provide the Administration and City Council options on how to reach the goals
in the Comprehensive Plan and remain consistent with state law.
The Comprehensive Plan and Support Documents are essentially the history and the vision of the community. The supporting documents supply the statistical information and description on which the guiding Goals, Objectives and policies are based.
