The following is a list of the children's programs that will be available for:
January to April 2012
Weekly Programs
Story Time Tuesdays at 10:00 a.m. This program is designed for children ages 3-5 years and may include stories, rhymes, finger plays and crafts.
Mother Goose Tuesdays at 10:45 a.m., and Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m. This program is designed for children from birth to three years old, and their parents. We will share various activities that include rhymes, finger plays, stories, and songs.
Evening Mother Goose Thursdays at 7:00 p.m. For young children and their parents. This program includes shorter stories, songs, finger plays and a simple craft.
Reading Patch Club Wednesdays at 2:00-3:00 p.m. This is a reading incentive program for elementary school students. Children hear about great books and earn stickers and patches for reading. Attendance is encouraged but not required to earn incentives.
Sign Language Class Thursdays 3:30-4:30 p.m. Learn the basics of American Sign Language. For youth of all ages.
Special Programs
Adventures in Art: Craft Art Around the World For grades 3-6. Beginning Feb 15th, programs will be AT A NEW TIME: 4:00 - 5:00 p.m. We will be exploring craft art from different countries. Learn a few things about the nation and make a craft that region is well-known for. Registration is necessary and begins 2 weeks before each program. Programs are on Wednesdays from 4:00-5:00 p.m. on the following dates: February 15th - Egyptian Paper Beads: bracelets and necklaces. March 21st - Grenada Spice Hanger. April 18th - Japanese Koi Nabori Fish Windsocks. May 16th - Jamaican Woven Fish.
Sunday Spectaculars Sundays at 2:00p.m.
You're invited to join Ms. Krystal for book sharing, songs, games, crafts, and snacks. Registration is required and begins two weeks before each program. Let It Snow – January 8th - all ages. Royal Valentine Party - February 12th - all ages. Leprechaun Fun - March 11th - all ages.
Snack With The Easter Bunny - April 1st - all ages.
American Girl: TBA
Friday, March 2nd from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m.
Join us for games and crafts from the period. Participants must be age five or older. Registration is required and begins 2 weeks prior to the program.
Tail Waggin' Tutors
3 p.m. to 5 p.m. on 2nd & 4th Thursdays of each month Therapy Dogs International's program encourages children to read by providing a non-judgemental listener and furry friend to read to.
Sessions with the therapy dog last fifteen minutes.
Parents' permission is required. Children must be at least 5 years old and be able to read independently. Five and six year olds must be accompanied by an adult.

Origami Workshop with Virgil Manning 6:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Programs are held on the 2nd Tuesday of ech month, on the following dates: Jan. 10th, Feb. 14th, March 13th, and April 10th.
All ages are welcome! Children under 7 years old must be accompanied by an adult.
The possibilities are endless! Come learn the art of paper folding. You will amaze yourself with just one piece of paper, no tools needed. Papers are provided.
