Seasonal Hours of Operation*: May - Aug Established in 1972 and operating on a seasonal Mon-Fri: 8:30 am - 9 pm schedule, the pool was fully refurbished in 1999 and Sat & Sun: 11 am - 5 pm expanded with the addition of Pollywog Pond, Holidays: Closed a children's activity pool.

Skyview Jr Olympic Pool is 6-lanes by 25 yds. The pool is operated on a seasonal basis from May - Aug each year. During recreational swim, a full Lifeguard complement is available to provide for the safety of the swimmers. A nominal fee is required for admission to recreational swim sessions.
Targeted programs include Adult Lap Swim, Water Aerobics, and American Red Cross (ARC) swimming lessons in addition to Lifeguard and Water Safety Instructor Training.
Pollywog Pond was constructed in 1999 to provide a shallow water play area for younger or non-swimming children. A frog slide, umbrella waterfall and other features provide hours of active play for the youngsters under the supervision of parents and a Lifeguard.

Additional youth programs include the American Red Cross (ARC) GuardStart program, aquatic sports, and volunteer opportunities.
Family Nite for children and their parents together with scheduled special events round out the City's aquatic offerings.

SPPark (Swimteam Pinellas Park) was started in May, 2000. Youth, ages 8-14, who successfully tryout for the team begin practice in May and swim until mid August.
Grouped by age, team members compete intramurally in meets scheduled throughout the summer. Additionally, team members are eligible to attend away meets by invitation from other area summer teams. The public is invited to the intramural meets to cheer on the rapidly improving teammates.
