Origami Workshops
Learn the art of paper folding from our local origami expert, Virgil Manning. No tools are needed and paper is provided. Registration is necessary and begins two weeks prior to the program. Programs will be held the second Tuesday of each month from 6:30-8:00 and are as follows: Jan. 10th, Feb. 14th, March 13th, and April 10th
Death by Chocolate Lock-in
Friday, Feb. 3rd from 7-10 p.m.
Come celebrate Valentine’s Day at this chocolate-themed program. There will be games, a craft and of course, chocolate. Registration is necessary and begins Jan. 20th.
Handcrafted Cards Workshop
Wed., Feb. 8th from 4-5 p.m.
From fun to funky, learn how to design your own handcrafted Valentine’s Day cards. Registration is necessary and begins Jan. 25th.
Shrinky Dink Jewelry Making Wed., March 14th from 6:30-8:00 p.m. Learn how to make cool earrings and pendants from this old favorite. Choose one of our designs, draw your own or print something of your choosing. The possibilities are endless! Registration is necessary and begins Feb. 29th
Hunger Games
Friday, April 20th from 7-10 p.m.
Let the Hunger Games begin and may the odds be ever in your favor! Registration is necessary and begins April 6th.
Teen Volunteers Middle or high school students may volunteer at the library. Our volunteers work approximately two hours a week shelving books, preparing crafts for programs, assisting at children's programs, and working on other projects assigned by the librarians. If you are interested, please call or see a Youth Services staff member for details.
Teen Advisory Board (TAB)
T.A.B. helps to plan programs for teens, suggests new materials, discusses books, promotes the library in the community and just generally has fun. Teens meet monthly with Library staff; meetings are usually held the third Wednesday of each month at 6:00 p.m. If you would like to join, please call or see a Youth Services staff member for details.
