Make Waves at Your Library

 

 Plug in @ Your Library – Teen Summer Reading
June 18th through July 30th
Choose books you like to read and fill out a short form available at the Youth Services Desk. Anyone who enters is eligible to win gift certificates in a weekly drawing.

 

Make Waves Tropical Lock-in         
Friday, June 18th from 7-10:00 p.m.
Come celebrate summer with food, fun and games Polynesian style. Registration is necessary and begins June 4th. 

Crochet Cafe         
Tuesdays, June 22 – July 27 from 3:30-4:30
Whether you are a beginner or already know how to crochet, come have fun and meet new friends at our summer crochet club.  No registration is necessary, but you must attend the first two sessions to learn the basics.
 

Teen Art Showcase

May 1st – July 31st 

Express yourself through your favorite medium.  Entries may include fiction or non-fiction essays (1500 word limit), poetry, photography, and black ink or pencil artwork.  The winning entries will be included in the fourth annual publication of Mosaic, a countywide teen magazine. 

 

Teen Book Discussion
Wednesday, June 23rd at 7:00 p.m.

Come join our book discussion group as we chat about our latest read and enjoy a food from the book's setting.  Our next book will be The Five People You Meet in Heaven  by Mitch Albom.  Registration is necessary and begins June 1st.    -- For more Fabulous INFO click HERE :-) --

 

Hire Me! Teen Secrets for Getting the Job

Wednesday, June 30 from 5:30-8:00 p.m.

For high school students

The Pinellas Public Library Cooperative is partnering with Bank of America and Junior Achievement to help you land the job you want.  Topics will include interviewing skills, resume building, and making a good impression with an employer.  Registration is necessary.

 

The Twilight Affair
July 16th from 7-10 p.m.

Come help us celebrate the third Twilight movie based on the book, Eclipse, at this Twilight lock-in.  Registration is necessary and begins July 2nd. 

 

Teen Art Class - Henna Tattoos

July 28th from 3-4 p.m.

Learn how to design and apply your own henna tattoo.  This traditional form of Indian art is
applied with henna paste and may stay on the skin up to three weeks. Participants must have
a permission slip signed by their parents.
