2003 Pinellas Park Police Department Homicide Investigation to be profiled on Oxygen Network Television Show "Snapped"

 The investigation into the homicide of Sandra Lee Rozzo, murdered on July 5, 2003, is being profiled on the television show "Snapped," in their 2009 series premier.  Sandra Rozzo was killed, (shot multiple times), by Ashley Christine Humphrey as Sandra arrived home from work shortly after 11:00 pm.  Sandra was shot before she could exit her car, after pulling into her garage.

 The show is scheduled to air nationally Thursday, January 8, at 10:00 and 11:00 pm, and again on Saturday, January 10 at 2:00 pm.

 *Background:

At the time of the homicide, Timothy Humphrey was facing felony battery charges in Hillsborough County, for which he faced prison time if convicted, where Sandra Rozzo was the victim.  The homicide occurred at 7818 66 Way North, in Pinellas Park.  Ashley Humphrey was charged with the homicide in December of 2004 and Timothy Humphrey in March of 2004. 

 Ashley Humphrey and Timothy Lee Humphrey were both convicted of murder and are currently in the Florida State Prison system.  Timothy Humphrey was found guilty by a jury on February 27, 2006 and subsequently sentenced to life in prison.  Ashley Humphrey pled guilty on March 9, 2006 and was sentenced 25 years in prison pursuant to a plea agreement.  The case garnered wide media attention when Timothy Humphrey managed to escape from custody at the Pinellas County Jail on April 16, 2004 and was recaptured hours later.   The case was previously profiled on 48 Hours Mystery.

 Sergeant Scott Golczewski and Lieutenant Paul Andrews were both interviewed by producers, for their parts in the investigation, earlier this year.
