Pawn Shop Manager Arrested for Dealing in Stolen Property

Case# 2011-3486

On Wednesday, February 9, 2011, at 3:45 pm, detectives from the Pinellas Park Police Department, (Criminal Investigations Section), conducted an undercover operation which resulted in the arrest of the manager of Cuso's Pawn Shop.  The detectives were operating on tips that the manager was receiving suspected stolen property and not completing any of the paperwork required by law, thus not making any records of the transactions.

The operation was conducted at Cuso's Pawn Shop, 8300 49th Street North, Pinellas Park.

The undercover operation involved the sale of property to the manager with the explicit understanding that the property being sold was "stolen" and did not belong to the person selling the property.

The manager was charged with Dealing in Stolen Property, Grand Theft, and a violation of City Ordinance regarding pawn shop regulations.
