Woman Arrested for Scheme to Defraud her Employer

On Monday, March 21, 2011, Pinellas Park Police Department detectives arrested Teresa Morgan for Scheme to Defraud against her employer, Dr. Virginia Schekorra, DO. The medical office is located at 6020 Park Blvd. in Pinellas Park. Morgan was employed as the Office Manager with the organization for the past nine (9) years.

Morgan is accused of using her position within the organization to steal approximately $280,000 over an extended period of time. Morgan is believed to have contacted the medical office's payroll billing company and increased her annual salary by double the amount authorized by her employer. In addition, Morgan is accused of stealing cash payments of patients and using her employer's business bank account to pay personal bills.

Following her arrest, Morgan was booked into the Pinellas County Jail this afternoon.
