Multiple Victim Shooting

A suspect has been charged. Investigators identified the suspect, Cory Rudenis, late this evening and have charged him with two counts of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and one count of burglary to a dwelling.
He has been transported to the Pinellas County Jail. Investigators are unclear as to a motive for the shooting at this time.

ORIGINAL RELEASE
At approximately 5:20 pm, an adult male drove himself to a Pinellas Park Police Department annex at the 6990 49th Street N. after suffering a gunshot wound to his shoulder. At approximately the same time, Pinellas Park Police Department dispatchers received reports of shots fired in the area of the 6000 block of 66th Terrace.
Upon arrival, officers located a second adult male shooting victim at the scene and information was developed that a suspect had fled on foot. The 2nd victim received a gunshot wound to his hand. A police K-9 unit responded to the scene in an unsuccessful attempt to track the suspect.
It was determined that both victims were involved in the same incident and that the shooting took place in the 6000 block of 66th Terrace.
The victims are being treated at local hospitals for non-life threatening injuries.
The victims have been identified as: Mitchell J. Birchard DOB: 11-5-1988 Address Unknown St. Petersburg, FL Injuries: Gunshot wound to the hand
Cameran Bodell DOB: 06-13-1989 6132 71 Street St. Petersburg, FL Injuries: Gunshot wound to the shoulder
