Four Injured in Motorcycles/Car Crash
Case# 2011-8200
On Wednesday, April 6th, 2011, the Pinellas Park Police department responded to a crash involving a car and three motorcycles in the 12100 block of 49th Street North. Northbound 49th Street was closed at 118 Avenue from just before 9:00 pm to 11:00 pm.
Witnesses report that the motorcyclists were traveling at a high rate of speed, northbound, and the driver of the car made a u-turn and was headed north when one of the motorcycles crashed into the back of the car. The two other motorcycles were laid down by their riders. All of the drivers involved were transported to local hospitals.
The persons involved in the cars are:
Sven Desouza, adult male, age: 36, of Clearwater, FL, was operating a Red 2008 Ducati motorcycle. He laid his motorcycle down and slide approximately 250 feet. He was transported to a hospital and was released with a concussion and road rash.
Pablo Quintana, adult male, age: 20, Tarpon Springs, FL, was operating a Black Honda 2006 motorcycle. He struck the rear of the 2001 Lincoln below and was ejected from his motorcycle and was found some 200 feet north of the point of impact. He suffered serious injuries and was admitted to a local hospital. He is expected to recover.
Mikhail Lochan, adult male, age: 19, Hudson, FL was operating a silver 2004 Kawasaki Motorcycle . He was also ejected from his motorcycle and suffered serious injuries. He was admitted to a local hospital and is expected to recover.
Larhonda Robinson, juvenile female , age: 17, of Pinellas Park, FL was operating a Beige 2001 Lincoln. She was transported to a local hospital and was released a few hours later with minor injuries.
All of the vehicles involved suffered disabling damage.
Crash investigators are continuing their efforts to interview all parties and witnesses and complete their investigation before determining what charges could be made in this incident.
