Paul Burnett Hasler was found at the bottom of the residential in-ground pool by another resident of his duplex. The cement pool was 8 1/2 feet deep and is located in the rear of the property. Pinellas Park Fire department personnel and Pinellas Park police officers responded to the scene and pulled Hasler, who was unresponsive, from the pool. Hasler appeared to be in the pool for a brief period of time. Paramedics performed CPR on Hasler who was later transported to Northside Hospital. He was pronounced deceased at 0210hrs by emergency room staff. The deceased was taken to the Pinellas County Medial Examiner's Office for an autopsy to be conducted in the immediate future. Alcohol appears to have contributed to this drowning and the cause of death is pending toxicology and autopsy reports. Next of Kin has been notified.
