Robbery Investigation
Location: 7221 US 19 North Honeybaked Hams (business)
Time: 12:30 PM
Case: 2010-15756

At approx 12:30 PM this date, a lone white male subject entered the Honeybaked Ham business located at 7221 US 19 N in Pinellas Park and approached the female clerk. The subject demanded money from the register. No weapon was seen. The subject then locked both female employees in a back room telling them not to come out. The subject took from one of the employees, her car keys and cell phone. The subject then fled the area in the employee's 2005 White Hyundai SUV. The victims called police after the subject left. Police located the victim's car parked in a parking lot near 64 Avenue and US 19 N.
Employees were not injured.
The suspect is described as a white male, 6'4" tall, 200 lbs, 25-35 yoa, tattoos on his right arm and possibly on his left bicep, very short brown hair, unshaven, LSW/blue basketball shorts and a dark blue T-shirt.
This suspect description matches the description of a subject that robbed the Planet Beach tanning salon on Saturday, June 19th, located at 7068 US 19 N at 10:30 AM. In this case the suspect was wearing a grey T-shirt with blue collar and sleeve ends and black windbreaker style pants. No weapon was seen. The suspect demanded money and then locked the employees in a back bathroom before taking the employees cell phone and car keys. A 2000 brown Buick LaSabre belonging to one of the employees was stolen from the parking lot and has yet to be recovered (case 2010-15663).

*** UPDATE 6/21/2010 ***
At 12:39 PM today a subject attempted to rob the Planet Smoothie located at 3750 US 19 N. The subject was distracted by a customer during the attempt and left without money. The clerks contacted police and provided a good description and direction of travel. Police officers located the suspect at 7315 US19 walking through the parking lot. He was arrested without incident. He is identified as Raymond John Cripe, dob/2-14-1983. This subject has admitted to robbing the Honeybaked Ham store on 6/20 and the Planet Beach Tanning Spa on 6/19/2010.
