Gunman Robs Convenience Store
On Friday, June 27, 2008, at 10:42 p.m., a man armed with a rifle entered the Citgo convenience store at 6791 66th Street North and committed a robbery. In the course of the robbery the suspect fired the rifle into the floor and also pointed the rifle at the clerk. The clerk complied and the suspect took the till from the drawer before leaving on foot.
Witnesses in the residential area behind the store saw the suspect get into the passenger side of a car which then drove east and away from the scene. The amount of cash taken has not yet been determined.
The suspect is described as: A white male, early 40's, approximately 6 feet or taller, medium build ,with medium length, light brown hair combed straight back with a receding hairline. He was wearing a long sleeve blue tee shirt with white writing on the front, black shorts that went below the knee, and white sneakers with no socks. The suspected was armed with a rifle with a wood stock. He had no obvious facial hair or other features.
The vehicle is described as: A blue/green early 1990's, possibly a Chrysler LeBaron with a black convertible top and spoke-like wheels.
The driver was described as a male, possibly Hispanic, with dark hair.
