On Sunday, August 10, 2008, at approximately 4:00 p.m., a man attempted to rob the CVS Pharmacy at 7101 Park Boulevard. The suspect entered the store, walked to the pharmacy area and demanded specific narcotics, implying that he was armed with a firearm. The suspect had a bulge in the shape of a firearm, under his shirt, in the front waist area.
As the victim pharmacist was getting the narcotics, the suspect fled the store. A canine unit attempted to track the suspect with negative results.
Detectives believe this is the same suspect who robbed the CVS pharmacy at 7400 49 Street North on July 23, 2008. During the July 23rd robbery the suspect displayed a silver handgun and was wearing a latex glove on his right hand.
The suspect is described as:
A white male in his 20's, approximately 5-10 tall with a medium build. He has short light colored hair
In the most recent robbery he was wearing:
A white baseball cap with a Yankee's emblem, a grey t-shirt over a white t-shirt, dark jeans, and black boots. He was also wearing a yellow bracelet on his right wrist resembling the "Live Strong" bracelets.
Photographs have been posted via media-alert and on the police department website.
