Robbery of the Subway restaurant Case# 2009-23681
Location: 11800 66th Street North Pinellas Park
Date: August 23, 2009 Time: 9:00 PM
Suspect: white, female, age 50's, 5'4"-5'7", slender, light brown hair in a pony tail, armed with a hand held "stun gun"
At approximately 9:00 PM the suspect parked her car in the Subway parking lot and walked into the Subway restaurant and ordered a sandwich. The victim clerk prepared the sandwich and told the suspect the cost was $5.35. The suspect placed two 5 dollar bills on the counter and when the victim reached to take the money as payment, the suspect grabbed the victims arm. The suspect told the victim she didn't want to do this but needed money for her three starving grandchildren. The suspect placed a "stun gun" to the victim's arm. The victim pulled away before the suspect energized the gun. The victim ran out the back door to the next door business Wingzone" and alerted the clerk there who in turn called 911 to report the crime.
When officers arrived, they located the suspect's car still parked in the parking lot, and a stun gun visible on the floor of the car. The suspect was not present. A K9 track was unsuccessful. Information on the crime and suspect was relayed to other police agencies.
Upon hearing of the crime, Largo Police contacted Pinellas Park Police and advised they were working a similar type robbery that occurred at a Shell Gas station earlier in the day (Largo report 09-8934)
The suspect vehicle has been impounded. The investigation continues.

Robbery of the Subway from 8/23/2009 Weapon – 300,000 volt stun gun
Largo police have taken into custody the suspect in two robbery cases (one in Largo, and one in Pinellas Park). She was located at Morton Plant hospital in Clearwater.
