Welcome to the City of Pinellas Park Sanitary Sewer Division's web page. The Sewer Division is responsible for the safe collection of the wastewater supply of the City to and from the lift stations.

The sewage lift station facilities transport the wastewater supply to regional treatment plants located in St. Petersburg and Pinellas County. These stations and other sampling points also serve as monitoring stations for the various industrial waste effluent control programs.

Overview:

The Sewer Division provides proper maintenance, repair and cleaning of all City sewer lines; internal inspection of sewer lines by the use of self-contained television monitoring equipment; maintenance and repair of lift station facilities, equipment, metering devices and transmission lines. Administrative and technical functions include the coordination of testing and monitoring of public and private industrial effluent to prevent hazardous wastes from being discharged into the sewer system or environment, and to ensure the City's discharge is in full compliance with all State and Federal regulations.

Service Details
The Sewer Division is staffed by 19 employees. They maintain 105 lift stations, 52 miles of force mains, and approximately 255 miles of sewer lines. Approximately 5.0 million gallons of wastewater are collected each day.

The sewer system is monitored by a computerized radio telemetry system. The telemetry system provides vital information about the status of system operation on a 24-hour per day basis. The Sewer Division is manned seven days a week to provide optimum service to the community.

The Sewer Division operating budget for the current fiscal year is $7,927,977.00.
