JERRY MULLINS was elected to City Council in March 2008. Currently, Jerry represents the City on the Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority Board (PSTA); Chairs the Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA); Member of the Homeless Leadership Network; Kiwanis Club of Pinellas Park and School Transportation Safety Committee.
Prior to his election he served as President and Lifetime Member of the Pinellas Park Historical Society; Member of the Pinellas Park/Gateway Chamber of Commerce for over 30 years, Past Vice-President of Pinellas Park Thunderbirds Football League; Park Dance Reunion Committee; Member of Celebrate Pinellas Park, Inc, the Holiday Parade organizers. Cruiser of the Year for a local Car Club Charity Work in 2005. Jerry was named Pinellas Park Citizen of the Year in 2005 and was recognized as a City of Pinellas Park Ambassador. His involvement with community organizations is extensive; from youth activities like the Going the Distance Youth Ministries to youth football, youth baseball leagues, Little Home Town Soldiers and the Pinellas Park Police Explorers.
Jerry has sponsored car shows to support Veterans at Bay Pines Veteran’s Hospital, assisted community groups like People Helping People, Sacred Heart Fall Festival and many others. Jerry has been a resident of Pinellas Park for over fifty years. He and his loving wife Caren, a native of Pinellas Park, are proud to call Pinellas Park home. Jerry has 5 grown children and 4 grandchildren all living in Pinellas Park. He and his wife are the owners of a successful concrete pumping business located in the City. Jerry has said that he ran for City Council to give back to the community that he loves; a community that has been very good to him.
