BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT (BOA)                                                                                  Meeting agenda and minutes here

The BOA is a resident, volunteer board who reviews and decides variance requests for properties.  Many lots in the City are of irregular shape or size that present difficulties in meeting the strict district regulations that were designed for a perfect rectangular shaped lot.  A builder/resident can overcome these difficulties by requesting relief from these standards.  This includes, but is not limited to, building setbacks, pervious area, dimensions and parking.  The BOA meets once a month.  Any variance request for a property within the Community Redevelopment District is reviewed by the CORA.  Any variance request that is a companion to a site plan review is reviewed by City Council.  BOA members serve three-year terms with no limit to number of terms.  The BOA also hears and decides appeals of administrative decisions by the Zoning Director.

There are no openings on the Board of Adjustment at this time.
