Mission Statement

Promote a positive image of the city, by providing excellent communication between the city, general public, media, city staff and other government entities. Provide superior multi-cultural events to enhance the quality of life and community pride for residents and visitors.

 The Government Relations Department is located on the second floor of Park Station and serves as the communication liaison between the city and the public, providing information to residents, media, business leaders and other agencies at all levels of local, county, state and federal governments to assure accurate and timely release of requested information and to represent the city's interests in the legislative process.

The department manages Pinellas Park's government access television channel 641 (Brighthouse) and 21 (Verizon), electronic LED signs, facebook and keeps the public informed through publication of the annual city calendar, monthly newsletter, frequent press releases, web site, and public service announcements. Coordinates city-sponsored and community events and oversees use of the Performing Arts Center, City Auditorium,  Park Station and the England Brothers Park.
