Burglary

ASAP Pharmacy
8613 66th Street N Pinellas Park

Suspect: Michael A Gould 9/28/1978
LKA/ 8161 58 Way N Pinellas Park FL

At approx. 4:06 AM Police dispatch received an intrusion alarm at the ASAP Pharmacy which is located in a strip mall type building (5 other suites attached). Arriving officers heard noises coming from the roof so the entire building was surrounded and secured. Officers located a bicycle and a backpack containing various tools and a pill bottle with the suspects name on it: Michael Gould. The PPPD tactical team was called in and the owner of the building Dr. Miles, was notified and responded to the scene. The tactical team began making entry to the offices and using a PA horn, ordered anyone inside to come out. They received no response so a police dog was sent into the area where officers believed the suspect was hiding. The dog alerted to the ceiling of one particular office. The suspect was located in this ceiling and was taken into custody without incident. The suspect was identified as Michael A. Gould (dob 9/28/1978). On him at the time of arrest were blank prescription pads from Dr. Miles' office, a leathermans tool (knife) and some pliers.

The suspect gained entry to the building by prying off an air conditioning vent on the roof. No other persons or accomplices were located. The suspect did not possess a weapon other than the tools used to gain entry. There were no injuries to any of the police personnel. The suspect did have some scrapes from crawling around the ceiling rafters.

The Arrested subject is currently at PPPD for interview and will be transported to the PCSO jail shortly. Pending charges are multiple counts of burglary and possession of Burglary tools.
