Q: When are CHECKS issued?

A: Checks for payments to vendors normally are mailed/available for pickup at approximately 4 p.m. each Thursday, provided the appropriate authorizations have been received in the Accounting division by noon on the previous day. Paychecks for City employees are available through the employee's department after 3:00 p.m. every other Thursday.

Q: How can I check on SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS for my property located within the City of Pinellas Park city limits?

A: You may call Accounting, 541-0700 X1210, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m., Monday thru Friday, regarding special assessment liens or payments.

A: Property tax information is available from Pinellas County Tax Collector             (727) 464-7777      .

Q: Does the City of Pinellas Park levy franchise fees and utility taxes?

A: Franchise fees are levied on a utility to operate within the City and use City rights-of-ways for locating pipes, wires, etc. The franchise fees are as follows: Cable TV 5%, Electric 6%, Gas 6%, Telephone 1%. The state allows utilities to pass on this fee to customers on their bills. Utility taxes are levied on utility bills and are paid by the utility purchaser. The utility taxes are as follows: Electric 10%, Natural Gas/Propane 10%, Telephone 7%, Water 10%.
