Mounted Volunteer

The Pinellas Park Police Department Mounted Patrol Unit is made up of specially trained officers that are trained in proper police tactics on horseback.  These officers patrol the many horse trails throughout the city, Parkside Mall, and any other areas of the city that may need special assistance from a Mounted Officer.  These officers are often called upon to work annual events like the Christmas parade, Country in the Park, along with numerous other special events throughout the year like National Night Out.

These officers also help train, and work with civilian riders who make up the volunteer Mounted Patrol.  The Pinellas Park Police Department is currently taking applications for those interested in joining our Volunteer Mounted Patrol. This is an exciting opportunity to work side by side with the men and women of the Pinellas Park Police Department while patrolling on horseback.
