This is an update to the earlier release regarding the hit and run crash on
66th St.  Investigators have now identified the suspect vehicle as either a
red 2006-2010 Chrysler 300 or 2006-2010 Dodge Magnum.

TITLE: Hit and Run Crash with Serious Injury

WHEN: March 29, 2021, at approximately 0420

WHERE: 6200 Blk 66th St

Bicyclist - Dustin Kwilecki (34) from Kenneth City

WHAT: At approximately 0420 hours, officers were dispatched to a crash in the
6200 Blk of 66th Street involving a bicyclist and a motor vehicle.  Upon
arrival, officers discovered the vehicle involved in the crash had fled the
scene before law enforcement's arrival.  The bicyclist, Dustin Kwilecki,
sustained serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital listed in
critical condition.

Through investigation, it was learned Dustin Kwilecki was traveling south
along 66th St on his bicycle when the suspect vehicle struck him from behind. 
After the collision, the vehicle fled, failing to remain on the scene of the
crash.

The suspect vehicle is described as a red 2006-2010 Chrysler 300.  The vehicle
should have damage to the front passenger corner and is missing the passenger
side mirror.  If anyone has information on the possible identity of the motor
vehicle involved in the incident, please contact the Pinellas Park Police

TITLE: Serious Crash Investigation

WHEN: March 29th, 2021, at approximately 0420

WHAT: Officers are on the scene of a serious crash investigation involving a
bicyclist and motor vehicle in the 6200 Blk of 66th St.  All southbound lanes
of 66th St will be closed during the investigation.

No other information is available at this time, and a follow-up release will
be sent upon completion of the investigation.

TRAFFIC ALERT- Southbound lanes of 66th St closed between 64th and 62nd Ave.
