TITLE: Domestic Violence Leads to the Shooting of Two

WHEN: October 4, 2021, at approximately 5:00 AM

WHERE: 3320 of 122nd Ave N

WHAT: At approximately 5:00 AM, officers responded to 3320 122nd Ave for reports of a shooting.  The address is a commercial business, HIT Promotions, and occurred in the parking lot. Upon arriving on the scene, officers located three individuals suffering from gunshot wounds. Two of the individuals on scene were pronounced deceased and a male victim was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Through the investigation, detectives learned the shooting resulted from a domestic quarrel between an ex-boyfriend and girlfriend.  The male shooter fatally shot the female victim after shooting a male.  The male shooter remained on the scene, shooting and killing himself at the same location as the female.  The male victim is currently receiving medical treatment at a local hospital for life-threatening injuries.

The shooting was an isolated incident and there was no threat to the employees working at the business.  At this time, the names of the subjects involved are being withheld pending the notification of the next of kin.

The month of October is Domestic Violence Awareness month.  We encourage anyone who is the victim or knows a victim of domestic violence to report it to law enforcement.  In addition, several community programs are available locally to assist in preventing domestic violence, such as CASA (Community Action Stops Abuse).
