TITLE: Pinellas Park Police Shop with a Cop

WHEN: Saturday, December 18th, 2021, at 10:00 AM

WHERE: Walmart Supercenter (8001 US Highway 19 N)

WHAT: As we approach the Christmas Holiday, the Pinellas Park Police

Department will have the opportunity to bring joy to residents from Pinellas

Park.  On Saturday, December 18th, the agency will be hosting Shop with a Cop

at the Walmart Supercenter, located at 8001 US Highway 19 N.  This event is

held in partnership with several local businesses, notably Walmart

Supercenter, Walmart Neighborhood Market, Florida Climate Worx, and Fore

Innovations.

The festivities will take place in the northwest portion of the parking lot.

The children will have the opportunity to explore various police vehicles,

visit with the police horses and have a K-9 demonstration.  Along with all the

law enforcement personnel, the children will visit Santa Claus and receive

gifts previously purchased by their parents before the event.

In years past, the children had the opportunity to shop alongside officers.

To help keep the spirit of Christmas, the parents shopped at Walmart

Supercenter before this event.  With the assistance of police staff and

community volunteers, all the gifts are wrapped and prepared for each child.

In addition to the allotted funds of $300 per child, each family will receive

a pre-cooked holiday meal from Walmart Neighborhood Market and a $50 gift card

for Barnes and Noble.

This event occurs thanks to the fantastic generosity of our community

partners, businesses, citizens, and city employees.  Because of the generosity

and charity of the community, 23 families with 58 children will be provided

with a wonderful holiday.
