Message From the Chief
The mission of Pinellas Park Fire Department is to protect the public by reducing or preventing personal injury or property damage due to fire, medical emergency, disaster or other life hazard by providing public education, incident prevention and emergency response services.

History
Firefighting in Pinellas Park dates back to 1912 when it was just a settlement of about 50 families. To protect their homes and property from the threat of fire, a small group of volunteers formed a 16-man firefighting unit.

Our Stations
Pinellas Park Fire Department currently employs 62 on-line firefighters and 16 administrative personnel in four stations.

Join Our Team
To be eligible for employment as a firefighter in the State of Florida, you must be Florida State certified. Many departments also require Florida State EMT certification. If you are not certified, there are several institutions that offer Firefighter training and Emergency Medical Training.

Access and utilize the 911 Live service, which provides real-time information on active emergency calls to 911.
