The City of Pinellas Park Recognizes Arbor Day and was named a 2020 Tree City USA by the Arbor Day Foundation
PINELLAS PARK -The City of Pinellas Park was named a 2020 Tree City USA by the Arbor Day Foundation in honor of its commitment to effective urban forest management.
Dan Lambe, president of the Arbor Day Foundation said, "The trees being planted and cared for by Pinellas Park are ensuring that generations to come will enjoy a better quality of life."
The City of Pinellas Park recognizes that this initiative brings residents together and creates a sense of community pride. Further, the Pinellas Park Mayor, Sandra Bradbury, and City Council has proclaimed at a public meeting on April 22, 2021, that April 30, 2021 is Arbor Day and should be celebrated as such on that day!
Communities worldwide are facing issues with air quality, water resources, personal health and well-being and energy use. Pinellas Park is stepping up and doing its part in hopes that our participation will help in providing solutions to all of these challenges.
