New Opportunities for Aspiring Young Athletes coming to Pinellas Park

PINELLAS PARK -Governor Ron DeSantis approves $13.5 million in funding for the
City of Pinellas Park's new youth sports complex. The complex will be situated
at the City's 37 acre Youth Park site located at 4100 66th Avenue, Pinellas
Park.

The City's vision for the Youth Park Sports Complex is to provide a
state-of-the-art, centrally located youth sports complex that will have a
regional impact on underserved and underprivileged youth and will offer little
to no-cost premium athletic opportunities to young Pinellas County residents
without the cost burden associated with many of today's travel and competitive
sports programs. The benefits of this project will have far reaching positive
impacts on local youth, as well as, surrounding businesses and the community
at large.

"On behalf of the Mayor, City Council and myself, we are thankful for the
unwavering support that House Speaker Chris Sprowls, Senate President Wilton
Simpson, and Chairs, Representative Jay Trumbull and Senator Kelli Stargel,
has provided for this project. Further, this would not be possible if it
wasn't for our bill sponsors, Representative Nick DiCeglie and Senator Jeff
Brandes, they have been fantastic," said Bart Diebold, City Manager for the
City of Pinellas Park. "We also are extremely grateful to Governor Ron
DeSantis for seeing the value in this project and approving the funding for
what will absolutely level the playing field for all aspiring young athletes
to make their dreams come true," concluded Diebold.
